Badger & Bee

We are a new craft & coffee shop in Skellingthorpe, selling handmade crafts and serving tea and lavazza coffee.

Here at Badger & Bee we pride ourselves on using only reclaimed timber and hand crafting beautiful things from wood felled by local tree surgeons. All our handmade produce is lovingly made by us here in the Badger & Bee workshop. We are big believers in reduce, re-use, recycle and try to use every last scrap of wood, even the sawdust goes into Remi’s eco-firelighters. Feeling that you can always make something useful or beautiful from even the tiniest piece; we let each piece of wood inspire us and just go with the grain. From English hardwood footstools to babies rattles hand turned from cherry wood, we use both traditional and modern methods of woodworking. All our turned products are still turned on a traditional pole lathe which you can occasionally see demonstrated at Badger & Bee. We work well as a team: with over 20 years experience of green woodworking, Al produces all the wooden gifts and products available in the shop. Specialising in fabric and sewing craft, Cherie handmakes many of the items at Badger & Bee using so many of the craft skills she has learned over 20 years of demonstrating and selling at major craft shows. Cherie’s pyrography skills remain popular, she personalises everything and anything. Remi is responsible for sales and handmaking all the eco-firelighters available in the shop using 100% recycled materials. Her creative love is decopatch, there are some great examples of her work in the shop. We stock a large range of decopatch items and accessories – decopatch parties will run on Saturdays throughout the year. Marley the Labrador makes the occasional appearance.
