Royal Watan kashmiri Restaurant

I have been enjoying coming to the Royal Watan since I was 19, 30 years later, it is still the best and my favourite Balti restaurant. The food is amazing and Imran and his family have a wonderful restaurant, great food and welcoming. Thank you for our take out during these tough times and will be back soon.

Great Kashmiri cuisine and friendly staff. Running with original homemade recipes that we can relish. The curries were very delicious and delicately cooked. The spices were very different to a typical Indian Restaurant, which is perhaps why it was outstandingly different and amazing at the same time. The owner and staff were very friendly and helped us to choose the right dishes, even gave our little one an activity book she enjoys even now. The rotis and rice were perfectly cooked as well, nice and fluffy. Their non-alcoholic version of Margarita and the the Mango versions were rocking. The best part is that they were open till late, which made our journey a great stop-over, and easy access from the M6. Would recommend it highly.

I have had good Indian/desi cuisine here for more than 1 time. This is my place to go when I am around University of Birmingham. I have recommended this place to any of my friends who visit/live in Birmingham. Food is one of the best Indian one I have had in UK. Service is every better than best! For the manager/owner to remember me after during my second visit (at least 2-3 months between my first and second visit) speaks volume about the kind of establishment they run. Hope they open more branches soon 🤞🏽We can use more welcoming place with good food like this in the world to spread some love.
